In short: Institute Check is a discovery and review platform — we help you find and compare academies, but we don’t deliver the coaching ourselves, and fees, admission criteria and results shown are as provided by the listed academy, not guaranteed by us. Keep your account secure, post only honest, first-hand reviews, respect our content and other users, and understand that use of the Platform is at your own discretion.

1Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

These Terms govern your access to and use of the website, mobile applications, APIs and related services provided by Institute Check (“Institute Check,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collectively the “Platform.” By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, submitting a review, registering for a mock test, registering an academy, or clicking “I Agree” (however labelled), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

Eligibility

You must be at least [13/18 — confirm minimum age] years old to create an account. If you are a minor accessing the Platform to browse content or take a mock test, you should do so under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf where an account is created.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable law.
If you register on behalf of an academy, coaching institute, college or other organization (“Partner”), you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, in which case “you” refers to both you individually and that organization.
You must not be barred from using the Platform under applicable law, and your account must not have been previously suspended or removed by us for a violation of these Terms.

2User Accounts & Registration Security

Certain features — including submitting reviews, requesting callbacks, registering for mock tests, and managing an academy or partner listing — require you to register for an account (as a Student/User, Academy Partner, or Admin, as applicable).

2.1 Registration

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep it updated. We may refuse registration, suspend, or terminate an account that contains false, misleading, impersonating or incomplete information.

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (including any password and OTP) and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must notify us immediately at support@institutecheck.com of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section, including your failure to keep your credentials secure.
One person or organization may not maintain more than one account for deceptive or abusive purposes (e.g., to post multiple reviews of the same academy).

2.3 Academy & Partner Accounts

Academy Partners are solely responsible for the accuracy of the listing information they submit (courses, fees, faculty, facilities, results, contact details) and for promptly updating it. Institute Check may, at its discretion, verify, edit, suspend or remove any listing that it reasonably believes is inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of these Terms.

3Authentic Reviews Policy

Reviews and ratings are core to the Platform’s value, and we require every review to reflect a genuine, first-hand experience.

3.1 What we require

You may only review an academy, course or program you (or, for a parent posting on a minor’s behalf, your child) have actually enrolled in, attended, or directly enquired with.
Your review must reflect your own honest opinion. You must not post a review on behalf of someone else, or accept payment, discounts, free services or any other incentive from an academy in exchange for a positive review, without clearly and conspicuously disclosing that incentive.
You must not post multiple reviews of the same academy from multiple accounts, or coordinate with others to post reviews as a group (“review brigading”), whether positive or negative.
Academy Partners must not post or solicit reviews of their own listing, or post negative reviews of a competitor’s listing.

3.2 How we verify authenticity

As described in our Privacy Policy, we use OTP-based contact verification, cross-referencing against enquiry/callback/mock-test records, automated fraud detection, and manual moderation to confirm that reviews come from genuine Platform users. We may label a review as “Verified” where we have confirmed a matching enquiry or registration record for the reviewer.

3.3 Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove any review, suspend or permanently ban an account, and/or take legal action where we reasonably believe a review is fake, incentivized without disclosure, defamatory, or otherwise violates this Authentic Reviews Policy — without prior notice and at our sole discretion. Academy Partners found to be manipulating reviews (their own or a competitor’s) may have their listing suspended or removed.

4Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Activities

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree that you will not:

Post content that is false, defamatory, fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory, or that infringes any third party’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person, academy or organization;
Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, extract or harvest data from the Platform without our prior written consent, other than standard search-engine indexing;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other users’ accounts, or our systems and networks, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform;
Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to damage, disable or exploit the Platform or its users;
Submit repeated, spam, or fraudulent callback/enquiry requests, or use the enquiry, callback, or mock-test tools for any purpose other than a genuine interaction with the Platform or a Listed Institute;
Manipulate ratings or reviews in any way not already addressed by Section 3 (Authentic Reviews Policy);
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform, except as permitted by applicable law;
Use the Platform to compete with Institute Check, including by building a directory or database of academy information obtained from the Platform; or
Violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, edit, refuse to publish, or remove any content, and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Acceptable Use Policy, without prior notice and at our sole discretion.

5Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Our Content

The Platform, including its design, layout, text, graphics, logos, icons, software, compilations of academy data, comparison tools, and the “Institute Check” name and logo, is owned by or licensed to Institute Check and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, frame, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

“Institute Check” and associated logos are trademarks of [Institute Check Legal Entity Name]. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos or brand features without separate prior written permission.

5.2 Your Content & License Grant

You retain ownership of the reviews, ratings, comments, photos and other content you submit to the Platform (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Institute Check a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify, publish, publicly display, distribute and promote such User Content, in whole or in part, in any format or medium, in connection with operating, promoting and improving the Platform. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate any third party’s rights or Section 3 (Authentic Reviews Policy).

We may remove or refuse to publish any User Content at our discretion, including content that we believe violates these Terms.

5.3 Academy & Partner Content

Content submitted by Academy Partners about their own institute (descriptions, images, brochures, results) remains the property of the respective Partner, who represents that they have the right to publish it and grants Institute Check a license, on the same terms as Section 5.2, to display and promote that content on the Platform.

5.4 Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas or feedback about the Platform, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

6Third-Party Links, Services & Fee/Admission Disclaimer

Institute Check is an independent discovery, comparison and review platform. We are not the provider of the coaching, tuition, courses or other educational services listed on the Platform — those are provided directly by the respective academies, colleges, coaching institutes and training organizations (“Listed Institutes”), which are independent third parties and not our employees, agents, partners or joint venturers.

6.1 Fee, Admission & Results Disclaimer

Course fees, admission criteria, eligibility requirements, batch timings, faculty details, facilities and past-results/placement claims displayed on the Platform are supplied by the respective Listed Institute (or aggregated from public sources) and are subject to change without notice. Institute Check does not set, collect, or guarantee any fee, and does not guarantee admission, enrollment, certification, or any academic, examination or placement outcome. Always verify current fees, seat availability and admission criteria directly with the Listed Institute before making any payment or commitment.

6.2 No Endorsement

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency or reliability of any listing, course fee, faculty credential, facility, placement claim, or result published by a Listed Institute, whether submitted by the institute itself or by users.
We do not endorse, recommend, or vouch for any Listed Institute, and inclusion of a listing (paid or unpaid) on the Platform is not a certification of quality.
Reviews and ratings reflect the opinions of individual users, not the views of Institute Check, and while we apply the verification measures in Section 3, we do not independently audit the accuracy of every review.
Any transaction, enrollment, payment, or agreement you enter into with a Listed Institute is strictly between you and that institute. Institute Check is not a party to, and bears no responsibility or liability for, that transaction.

6.3 Third-Party Websites & Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, payment gateways, or services (including analytics and social media plugins) that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. We encourage you to independently verify any information about a Listed Institute — including accreditation, fees, faculty and results — directly with that institute before making any decision.

7Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The following section limits our liability to you. Please read it carefully. Nothing in this section is intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

7.1 “As Is” Basis

The Platform and all content, information, tools and services made available through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any mock test, comparison result, or listing information is accurate, complete or up to date.

7.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Institute Check, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Platform, any Listed Institute, or any content therein, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the [12 months] preceding the claim, or (b) [INR 5,000 / a nominal amount you specify].

7.3 No Professional or Educational Advice

Content on the Platform (including blog articles, comparisons and mock tests) is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, educational, career or financial advice. You should independently verify information and consult qualified professionals before making enrollment or financial decisions.

8Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Institute Check and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, licensors and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Platform; (b) your User Content, including any review found to violate Section 3 (Authentic Reviews Policy); (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third party’s rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; or (e) any dispute between you and a Listed Institute or another user. We reserve the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.

9Termination of Service / Account Cancellation

9.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Platform, or request deletion of your account, at any time by contacting support@institutecheck.com or using the account-deletion option in your account settings, where available. Deletion of your account does not automatically remove reviews or content that we are required or entitled to retain (e.g., for legal, fraud-prevention, or record-keeping purposes), though such content may be anonymized.

9.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms (including the Authentic Reviews Policy), engaged in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or that your continued access poses a risk to the Platform, other users, or Listed Institutes. Where feasible and not prejudicial to our legal position, we will attempt to provide notice of the reason for termination.

9.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access and use the Platform will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will survive.

10Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10.1 Grievance Redressal & Informal Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute, please first contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@institutecheck.com so we can attempt to resolve it informally and promptly.

10.2 Jurisdiction

Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection venue rules under applicable law, you agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [New Delhi], India. If you prefer arbitration over court proceedings, replace this clause with an arbitration clause specifying the seat, rules (e.g., the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996) and language of arbitration, in consultation with counsel.

11Changes to Terms & Contact Details

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an in-app banner or email). Your continued use of the Platform after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
